God's promise laid out over Supertubes
Hey Hey!
Sorry it's taken me so long to write some more for those of you who are curious as to what I'm doing but with the beach being so close to my house, you could say I've been a little busy.
Things are AWESOME and this past month has been sick. Christian Surfers volunteered at the JBay open this year and I was in the media tower to cater to the ASP media guys' needs, such as getting them coffee, their breakfast and whatever else they might need because most of them are announcers on the beach or the live webcast so they aren't able to move from their seats. I was so stoked to serve the guys and gals of the ASP whatever they needed and Glorify God while doing so. It was really cool by the end because we were all on a first name basis with each other and I had most of their coffee requests down by heart. It was such a fun experience and will hopefully be able to do it again! Even if it means waking up at 5:30am to find that I'll be working on a layday...
ALSO, I am in the process of training for Aleph right now and am SO stoked to be hanging with the little groms and grom girls in the Township. These kids are so amped when you arrive and the little groms LOVE climbing all over you and chasing you. When we went surfing with them yesterday, the weather wasn't ideal for the kids but seeing as I love the rain and overcast weather, I felt right at home! Many of the boys can stand up on the boards and are great little surfers! The littler ones like to bodysurf and play with the boogie boards in the foamies. The best part about yesterday was while it was starting to sprinkle, one of the most vibrant rainbows I've ever seen came out near us while some sunlight peeked through. God is always at work in this community and with these kids but in that moment, you could truly feel it. JBay is such a special place, I hope you can all catch a glimpse of it through my writing!
